Bio :

Ron Hedrick was born in Vancouver B.C. In 1968 Ron took his first painting instruction from Karl Wood, but it was in 1981 while living in Kamloops B.C. that he took up painting with a passion. Surrounded by spectacular hues and rolling landscapes, he began to focus on this magnificent world we sometimes take for granted.

Well established and seasoned, with many years of painting and teaching, he has left his mark in the Canadian art scene and continues to paint with the same enthusiasm and passion as his early Kamloops years.
“After many years of painting, I feel good about where I am as an artist at this point in time. I am happy with my work, yet I have this continuous urge to reach out, try new ideas, and continue to grow as an artist””.Hedrick’s paintings are easily recognizable with their bright sunlit colours and spontaneous and confident brushwork.

Hedrick has been teaching out of his studio for the last 12 years.

Hedrick’s oils can be seen at  galleries representing his work; Gainsborough,Calgary,    Rendezvous art gallery,Vancouver,     Hampton Gallery,Kamloops,   Hambleton Gallery,Kelowna  and  Evalyn Dunn Gallery, New Jersey as well as google search.

Ron’s works are in corporate and private collections in Europe, Asia, Middle East as well as the United States and Canada.

Ron and his wife Sandy have recently moved to Kelowna, where he is looking forward to being inspired by the magnificent vistas and flavours of the local area and beginning a new chapter in his life.
